P90X Fitness Test – Is It Important?

For all of those eager to begin their P90X journey, you must first take the P90X fitness test. As a means of tracking your progress as well as ensuring that you are physically able to complete the intense, yet rewarding program, you are urged to take the P90X fitness test and assessment.

It is extremely important that the fitness test is taken honestly. By pinpointing your strengths and weaknesses, you can better prepare yourself for the next 90 days!

The P90X Fitness Test

At approximately 40 minutes in length, the test involves exercises from the program. It is extremely important that the exercised be completed in order and one after another. Another suggestion is to first complete the Power 90 program which is a great introduction to the world of P90X. Slim in 6 is also another suggestion.

What you need for the fitness test

A few items are needed to adequately assess your abilities. These include:

• Running shoes
• Timer/stopwatch
• Pull-up bar
• Tape measure
• Heart rate monitor
• Water
• Towel
• And a positive attitude!

What does the test consist of?

You won’t find any surprises in the P90X fitness test and you won’t be expected to run a half-marathon either. In actuality, the test consists of exercises monitoring your strength, stamina and current physical abilities. The test includes:

• Toe touches
• In and outs
• Bicep curls
• Push-ups
• Pull-ups
• Wall squats
• Vertical leap

So get your head in the game, buck up and take the P90X fitness test. The sooner you take it and pass it, the sooner you can begin the P90X workout program.
